When our buddy Dan O’Malley couldn’t hang out with us this weekend, we were bummed out. Then, this morning he sent us the result of his weekend warrioring and we were quickly un-bummed. That’s because over the weekend, Dan made this sweet video for The Rentals:
Dan previously worked with us to get the sweet VHS effect on Simon and CARfunkel. Matt Sharp (featured in the video) is the front man of The Rentals, and former bass player for Weezer.
My favorite part of the video is Matt popping up in the mirror.
Hey Tremendopals! We owe you a big fat internet-apology for releasing material so infrequently. We’ve been tied up with a variety of different exciting projects and, unfortunately, a lot of them are still top-secret.
In the meantime, can we make it up to you with some on set photographs of something we’re working on?
Hey Gang! I know it’s short notice, but some of our shorts are going to be screened tonight at Carolines comedy club in New York.
The show is called Burnt Toast and its a video competition hosted by the legendary animator and cartoonist Bill Plympton. Bill’s illustrations have been featured in Rolling Stone, Playboy, National Lampoon, and many other publications. He also ran “The Don and Bill Show” with Don Hertzfeldt.
We’re excited for our first animated piece, Oops! All Lansburys, to be screened by this animation legend. But we’re in LA… So, if you’re in New York, why don’t you go check out the show on our behalf!

Ladies and Gentlmen, I emerge from my cave (day job) to bring you this secret treasure (ridiculous video). If you love The Cosby Show, but wish it had more hardcore sex in it, you’re in for a real treat:
Seriously internet!? Thank you for being ridiculous!
The folks at Hustler who created Nalin Palin are apparently now doing sitcom parodies, and what show was begging for a porn parody more than The Cosby Show. I mean, seriously, how often were you watching that show and expecting sex. Oh wait, never.
Anyway, on their website (sitcums.com – yes. for real.) they also parody Bewitched, Three’s Company, and The Brady Bunch. The best part is, these are just trailers for FULL LENGTH sitcom spoofs! Watch a couple of them, they really nail some of the sitcom tropes.
THEO!
(side note: the guy at 2:19 is someone Justin and I actually met while hosting e-Rotic. so, there’s that.)
I was fortunate enough to catch a screening of Derrick Comedy’s first feature film, Mystery Team, a few weeks ago – and let me tell you: It is fantastic.
The film tells the story of a trio of boyish and naive high school seniors who still run a neighborhood detective service and are forced into adulthood when they try to solve a real murder. Think of it as the characters from an Encyclopedia Brown book, thrown into the grit and grime of a real homicide.
Mystery Team is fresh, unique, fun, and (most impressively) it’s a solid laugh (or more) a minute.
Here’s the trailer:
Surprisingly, the film has had a hard time finding distribution. But, it’s only a matter of time. Once someone is smart enough to buy it, you’ll get a chance to see it.
Want a deathly awesome free Tremendosaur T-shirt ? Send us a picture of you decked out in your Halloween costume by the end of this weekend. (tremendosaur ‘at’ gmail ‘dot’ com)
On Monday, we’ll pick the best costume and make sure that person gets a FREE tremendoshirt!
Finally, are you looking for some spoooky fun tonight? Justin and I, along with our friend Jacqueline (together known as "J-ing Off") will be doing a creeeepy show at iO West tonight at 11pm. Check it out !
